Christopher founded Carbonic Solutions in 2015, driven by his interest in creative project and market development, and his fascination with CO2 in general. Having started his career in the Oil & Gas Industry in 1985, Christopher got his first taste of project development while generating exploration and development prospects for a small E&P company in North Texas.
In 1990, Christopher returned to school and earned his MBA, specializing in marketing, international business and finance. After a short stint with a corporate ventures group in the US, Christopher moved to Europe to take on a product and market development role with a European packaging company, and in 1997 returned to North America to run their Canadian packaging business. In 2001, Christopher joined The BOC Group as a Director of Business Development in their ventures group, and immediately began working closely with CO2 related technologies.
From 2001 to 2004, Christopher served as General Manager for a small CO2 technology start-up before moving to the UK to take on a business development role focused on the development and acquisition of sustainable energy projects for BOC globally. During this time, Christopher was heavily involved in projects and technology related to biogas utilization, anaerobic digestion, waste-to-energy, alternative fuels, fuel cells and landfill gas. In 2008, Christopher had the opportunity to lead the development of new CO2 sources in EMEA for The Linde Group, and moved to the Netherlands, where he is based today.
Christopher holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering, as well as a Master of Business Management from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
